DLD (Determined to Learn and Develop) Enterprises was establish in January 1992 with a mission to Motivate, Empower and to add personal zest to individuals seeking to emerge victorious within self and their goals in life. I, Donald L. Dowridge, Jr. is a overcomer of treacherous, harshness & trauma through my adolescence to young adult result in a very pessimistic behavior. Eventually through experiencing a epiphany and giving my life to “JESUS CHRIST” I was led to do something that will inspire many as I was inspired. 

DLD within the thirty year history has written fourteen books, a variety of curriculums, mentor thousands of our youth, received many awards from the President of These United States to local government agencies. For fourteen years putting my acting skills to work, I have traveled America portraying the great “FREDERICK DOUGLASS.” For the last twelve years I’ve portrayed “SANTA CLAUS,” earning recognition as the Best African-American “SOUL SANTA” in the Tampa Bay Region. It is a Blessing to find purpose for life and have the opportunity to move forth to use the Gifts & Talents to inspire and motivate many others, “especially here in 2022 as we see many are suffering and just about at the wits end.
